There are many swings here for kids to play.Tge lake is well-maintained and the level of hygiene is very much high..I was very calm to their atmosphere.Good environment..24/7 security is available.Large parking space available.

The Rose Garden is a breathtakingly beautiful place spread across a vast area, making it a paradise for nature lovers. The garden is exceptionally well-maintained, with lush greenery and a clean, serene atmosphere. It boasts thousands of varieties of roses, each more stunning than the last, creating a mesmerizing display of colors and fragrances.

First things first, the entrance to the Rose garden is free of cost. It has good number of trees inside to provide spots to lay down in case u want to take a nap. Garden has variety of roses, perfect to photograph. Only downside i feel was the lack of drinking water. Park was mostly wet due to rain, so u need tomplan accordingly.

It's an open park. No entry fee needed. It has different kinds of rose. It's very well maintained. You can walk on the lawn and admire the different types of roses available. There might be about 50-70 varieties of roses. There are plenty of chairs to sit on. You can sit on the lawn as well. Me and my friend went in search for black rose as the previous week before there was an exhibition. Very calm and relaxing place.

A big garden in sector 16. I visited this garden before and after rose fest. Rose fest is held every year during feb here. There are different species of flowers here. During rose fest performances by school students are given here. Many singers come during this fest. Really nice to visit this place.

Excellent place to visit. Superb views. Well trained staff. Excellent food preparation, fast services. You will feel silence of the nature. Good atmosphere.

Poor restaurant services n quality. Non veg food was extremely bad. Also we took Dinner n Breakfast package. While taking payment We were not being told that Dinner buffet will not be available. They gave us a Menu card and asked to order anything among the given options. Firstly they took 15 minutes to get the soup, then another 20+ minutes to get the salad n snack. Then for main course we wait for 35-40 minutes. Then food served was totally disappointing. Moreover other than trolley hype there is nothing worth paying for this resort. There are many other good resort options to make ur holiday worth rather than spoiling money and time here. Don't don't waste your time and money here.

rom its high hill location. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and perfect for relaxation. However, the food prices are extremely high—even basic items are marked up significantly. For example, I was charged 160 rupees for a Sprite can that typically costs 40 rupees. While the atmosphere is amazing, the overpriced food and beverages are disappointing.

Beautiful experience in the mountains. The trolley ride is about 20 minutes one way, and is very stable. We also tried the restaurant at the top, and it was very good food. We will recommend it to others.

Used the Deck to have lunch a month ago when the weather was cooler. Did not use rooms or visit "The Heights". The service for the deck starts at 2 pm. This is rather late in the day. Recommended that is starts early to enjoy the ambience during good weather. Food preparation was "average" with too many chillies.

Somewhat money minded hotel. Room old wing alloted to us far from reception but not the worth money spent. Expensive hotel in lieu of facilities available. Rooms condition deteriorated old doors and windows with no polish. Needs interior renovation. Very expensive dining. Food quality was average in breakfast.. Location is superb with fascinating and exciting views. Cable car experience was thrilling.

GANDHI BHAWAN It’s distinctive position as a white lotus against the red sandstone structures of the Panjab campus is a metaphorical representation of Gandhi’s teachings, and stands out amidst the more traditional academic and administrative structures of the university. It is as iconic as it seems. A shame that the pool of water was not present at the time of visiting, however it allowed me to capture the building’s details with my eyes more than a zoom of the camera. Despite its individual characteristic, I find that the Fine Arts Museum opposite, shares a facade similar to Gandhi Bhawan. Two sets of large panels sitting atop, or sandwiched between a set of long horizontal panels. Perhaps, Gandhi Bhawan fits in well on Panjab campus, and the two structures and their contrasting hues and material, highlight the nuanced interplay between tradition and modernity. BOYS’ HOSTEL One of the Boys’ Hostel visited was an observation of one room on the ground level, where a lattice brickwork was displayed. However, some of the holes of the brickwork were filled with two stacks of bricks. Perhaps, the natural ventilation operates well, but privacy was sought after. I did also love the short coloured stone walls at the entrance to the dorms. STUDENT CENTRE My first instance of seeing a concrete ramp circle up a concrete building, its facade often placed with pivotal louvered windows for natural ventilation, while a hand runs along the thick concrete railing held up by frequent thin metal poles. Though I’ve only had the opportunity to enter its top floor cafe, the Student Centre appears much better from the outside. Its bathroom is terrible, and the lighting was weak inside the cafe. I did adore the view of the social hub below the building, and the maintained shrubs along the footpaths.

This museum has two parts viz. Art museum and Natural history museum out of which only Natural history museum is great. This museum was formerly known as Museum of human evolution. It is such an amazing museum where you will know how the earth was born and evolved till today, how human evolved and how dinasaurs evolved and destroyed. The sculptures are damn amazing and realistic. A must visit place.

Absolutely loved the Govt. Museum!! They have one of the most magnificent collection of Gandharan art and sculptures! The entry ticket is about 30 rs and photography ticket is 30. They have a total of 8 galleries I think, out of which 6 were open at the time of my visit. The collection is amazing and worth a visit. Right from the Gandharan art to the miniatures the quality of works is top notch. The display is very standard and the labels are also very basic. The lighting in the miniature gallery is very poor but I guess this helps prolong the life of the artworks. They have toilets which free to use and clean. They also have a small publication counter where you can buy books. I wish they also had a souvenir store.

The Government Museum and Art Gallery in Chandigarh, India, was established in 1968. Le Corbusier's famous architecture. Although avoid visiting during weekends as the buildings remain closed and can't be seen from inside. It is a pity that Punjab tourism can't keep them during weekends for the tourists, as tourists prefer to visit during weekends.

This is where you start your tour of the capital complex. Lovely building in the forest. Nice furniture. Guides are informative and helpful. Tour is about 1.5 hours, and includes the legislative assembly building. Do not miss this UNESCO World heritage listed complex so check timings. Bring a hat!

The staff were lovely but it was so disappointing we could not enter/even get anywhere near the buildings. We only saw 2/3 of the main buildings as court was on. Online reviews instructed us to visit on weekdays in hope of actually entering the buildings. We travelled from the U.K. to visit and had even emailed to ask if this was a good time to come. This place is Unique spot in Chandigarh. Since it was the first building built in Chandigarh. The building serves as the secretariat and high court so it is not open all the time. The Tourist are allowed in 3 batches at 10 AM,12PM and 3PM. So accordingly you can plan your trip. There is guide who explains you everything regarding the architecture and buildings. It was unique to say the least, although I am not an architectural student, I could say visiting has piqued my interest into the field. The buildings were designed in ways I’ve never witnessed before, in strange shapes and colors, and it was truly wonderful to see. The same could be said about the art sculptures allowing for natural sunlight and passive cooling and a place for people and nearby wildlife to rest. It was an architectural response for a governmental building for Chandigarh and much needed as a tourism and a functional place to pass laws. One can see that no cost as been spared in the construction, being large in area and colorful in its design. Unfortunately, no pictures were allowed to be taken inside the building, which is a real shame considering the inside was just as beautiful as the outside.

Chandigarh Capitol Complex, located in sector-1 of Chandigarh city in India, is a government compound designed by the architect Le Corbusier and his co-workers and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is spread over an area of around 66 acres and is a prime manifestation of Chandigarh's architecture. It comprises three buildings: the Legislative Assembly, Secretariat Building and the High Court plus four monuments (Open Hand Monument, Geometric Hill, Tower of Shadows and the Martyrs Monument). It was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site List in 2016 along with sixteen other works by Le Corbusier for its contribution to the development of modernist architecture.

Must visit to feel divine and peace. Sit there for a while and chant. You may also get a free meal around evening hours outside the temple.

I had a wonderful experience visiting the ISKCON Temple. The serene and peaceful atmosphere was truly uplifting, and the temple's architecture was beautiful. The temple’s rituals, prayers, and chanting created a deeply spiritual experience. The staff and devotees were welcoming and helpful, which made the visit even more pleasant. I also appreciated the cleanliness and orderliness of the premises. The prasad was delicious, and I highly recommend trying it.

Iconic temple. Food not upto expectations. Sweet shop should refrain from selling over expired fungus influence sweets. As a customer you believe the quality of sweet to be extremely fresh. But person on the counter was like any other sweet shop by the corner and not from ISCON.

The area is very large and enjoyable. Need more hygiene at food joints inside. Carry sunscreen 🧴 and lots of liquid drinks and water to stay hydrated if going in summers. 🌞

I really enjoyed this place. It was a good place where you could see the animals. The best place I loved was the aviary. The birds are freely roaming in our and you can enjoy nature at its best. It was a wonderful experience. The second animal that I lived seeing was the hippo and the other. They all were in their natural habitat which they were enjoying very well. It was an experience I will not forget for a long time. It's a must see for all families so that your children will get closer and enjoy nature.

This zoo is one of the best zoo in India. So huge area and very well maintained. Variety of animals are there in this zoo. We saw Hippo, Tigers, Crocodiles, Lion, Deer, Ostrich, Bear etc. There is a Lion and Deer safari for which a seperate ticket of Rs 75 needs to be purchase in which they take you in a bus and it's totally worth it. I have never seen the tiger from such a near distance and there are huge number of deers in the safari. Plenty of Toilets and drinking water facility is availabe. The only thing to be dislike here is their Canteen. Food quality is 3rd class and very less options are available. Better to take home cooked food (plastic packets are not allowed). Ticket price as on 27.03.25 are: Zoo ticket - Rs 100 per person Battery operated ferry charge (must recommended) - Rs 60 per person Lion safari - Rs 75 per person

This place is worth visiting at least once. They have a wide range of animals to view. The dinosaur area is actually pretty fun for kids. We didn't bother paying extra for the carts that can take you round. Glad we didn't as I don't think it is worth it. The lion safari you have to pay extra for and it is the only way to see the lions. We did pay for this as I think it is worth doing it once, but not if you go often. The walk round is long! If you have young kids I recommend a pushchair. They have a great walkthrough to see the birds. They have lions, tigers, elephants, monkeys, hippos, reptile house, and a lot more.

I have been here many times. It was very good when I first came . The second time I came was 10 years ago. It was fine then but I felt very strange seeing the condition of the zoo. And this time it felt better than the last time, a lot of things have improved. Like after the parking area there is the entry gate and some other things. But still many things are yet to be fixed or improved, such as the parking area, entry and exit gates of the parking area. There are a lot of animals in the zoo, but some seem lazy, I think more attention should be paid to their care. The food plaza looks good but needs some improvement. Because apart from this zoo there is no other zoo nearby and people also want to see something good. Right now it is fine, some people go without looking at reviews and ratings, while some people go after checking reviews and ratings. I could have given a five star rating as there is no other zoo nearby but I think after some improvement it can be given a five star rating. I am not uploading photos from inside the zoo because that is what you will come to see. Instead of coming after seeing the photos, it is better to see it yourself and enjoy it. I hope visitors will like it after reading my review.

Chhatbir Zoo is a very beautiful campus, it's almost like a jungle safari. I love the place very much and visit every year. Only thing is mots animals are without pairs. Single animals are not happy. They should have pairs. The Dinosaur park inside the zoo is also a good attraction for kids.

A very good place to visit on the weekends. ₹100 zoo ticket justifies its price. A big area to walk along with your friends and family. Very much neat and clean with basic amenities of free drinking water and washroom. I would like to recommend everyone to visit at least once.

This park in sector 15 Chandigarh is really nice. The trees are trimmed neatly, and the water fountains are beautiful. There's a long path for walking and running in the morning or evening. You can also do yoga here. They have a playground for little kids. Overall, it's a great experience.

This garden is located in Sector 15A, opposite side of Patel Market.. It's good place for walks, pincnics and to spend time with your friends n family. But this place really need some attention for its cleanliness..

My favourite place. I've created many moments here. I used to play ukulele here when I was in Chandigarh. I've made many friends here. This garden is very beautiful. It's good for sitting, walking, jogging, yoga & exercising. An outdoor gym is also available in this garden. This garden has fountains working here in the evening & morning with the peaceful music. This garden is so nicely made and even maintained! It’s huge and great time can be spent here! There is such a serene atmosphere in here! I wish I could stay a little longer! There are floral Sculptures of animals! They look so attractive! They are swings are rides for children! It can be a very good picnic spot too! After seeing the beauty the mood just lifts up! Walking paths for people coming for morning and evening walks are there! You must fully utilise the place! It gives such positive vibe ! And most importantly there are gyming equipment’s in the park!

Short cut to market: Its a small garden for sector 15 residents. Easily approachable and a meeting point for senior citizens and younger ones too, with a play area for tiny tots. I like to go this place for a brisk walk sometimes. It also offers a short cut walk- through to the market for residents.

Creating a most beautiful city needed an architect with a vision and passion. This center captures the man, the process and the history behind Le Corbusier and Chandigarh.

The Corbusier centre is supposed to be a museum dedicated to Corbusier ofcourse. It's set up in what used to be his office at one time. The entry ticket is 30 rs and photography fee is 30 rs. The display is very conventional. A lot of the galleries seem very random with no narrative. The images barely have any information on their content. They could have planned it much better. They do have toilets and drinking water facility. They also have a merchandise store here to buy souvenirs.

Le Corbusier Centre in Chandigarh is a must-visit for architecture enthusiasts. The center beautifully showcases the genius of Le Corbusier with his original sketches and designs. The studio and office areas are well-preserved, giving a glimpse into his creative process. The furniture and letters on display add a personal touch to the experience. The souvenir shop has unique items for art lovers. This place is a treasure trove for anyone interested in urban planning and the work of visionary artists.

I like how the city design is analogous to the human body, such the Open Hand is. Labelling them ‘sectors’ is different to any Indian city, and any country I’ve heard of, and it shows that one would understand the city’s layout with this label. I do take particular interest with the concept and manifestation of the seven V’s of the road, but I still find it difficult to understand the intersections of each V. Although, not comprehending it completely isn’t the end of the world? Even with minimal time in Chandigarh’s streets, I can see how the city plan has been curated for pedestrians and an assumed used for green areas, but not understanding that Chandigarh’s population, currently and rising, exceeds the amount of empty space.

Very informative, lots of intricate details, old manuscripts, letters. Took us back in time, making us feel the thought process and how life wasn't easy yet when minds come together, a great city is formed! Must visit. Worth INR 20 per person for all that!

Small, charming somewhat old place. Nice overview of Le Corbusier’s work in Chandigarh, and of the Harappan history of Chandigarh. Photos are good. Relaxed, quiet, not easy to find (location on Google Maps not quite right). Souvenir shop closed. Staff friendly. No extra charge for foreigners (an Indian hobby, normally)!

This is a wonderful construction french architect , This was a symbol of peace , friendship and safe...in another way it seems like a flying bird..It was a weight of 50tons and even on this weight it rotates 360°very easily.For easy rotation it need equal weight and balance, that is the talent of the architect. This site in Chandigarh is UNESCO certified site...they are other 5 monuments in the same site with unic architecture...

Built in 1955 , this monument comes now in World heritage site. Open hand symbol made of metal and fixed on a bearing , it moves with wind direction in align to thumb position. Open hand symbol has a dove figure in its construction, which symbolizes peace. There are 3 times in a day to visit this place , 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 3 pm.

Very beautiful park scanning between Rose Garden and Bougainvillea Garden. Very calm. It has a petit replica of Eiffel Tower. I usually like the area near Bougainvillea. The rose Garden side has no grass and usually occupied by guys with gaddi and guns . Overall, it is worth visiting and do meditation in the morning. Spring is best season to visit.

Leisure valley is a most enjoyable and popular tourist attraction in Chandigarh. It's located in sector 10B. Bus stand is at a distance of 4 km away. The Park is spread over in 400 acres of area. Trees with round canopies and evergreen foliage have been planted here. Long walking pathway with variety of flower looks awesome. Place is Good for meditation and morning/evening walkers. The Leisure Valley is a perfect place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of routine life. A beautiful replica of Eiffel Tower can be seen here. The tower stands 56 feet tall and is very famous among the locals. Park Entry is free. Good place for hangout !!!

Leisure Valley is a beautiful oasis! The lush gardens and serene walking paths are perfect for leisurely strolls. It’s great for family outings, picnics, or simply enjoying nature. I highly recommend it!

Best Park in Chandigarh: This is the perfect place for family time and outings. If someone wants to spend a day with nature this is the correct place in city, dense plantation, creative stones and windchim are the attractive points. I visited during spring it was lovely. Government maintain this very well but visitors are very lazy they are not using dustbins. Wheelchair accessible parking and entrance available here. Sharing some pictures for your reference. Beautiful garden with good separate path for walker. Place to do exercise. The park is most popular because of its size and greenery. Free parking on two side of garden . Free public rest room. Walking track are not well maintained. Sitting benches are few make it difficult to find place to sit . Separate area for exercise and yoga. Overall good park in sector 10. Still the walking track is not ready and in rainy day lot of water on tracks

One of oldest parks in Chandigarh. It’s a part of the continuum of various theme gardens built around the eroded valley of a seasonal rivulet on the original site of the city. Well maintained, with lots of trees, greenery and hillocks. Separate tracks for walking and running. The Fitness Trail is ideal for long walks and physical workouts.

Though still worth a visit, this museum is in need of an update (or honestly, even an enterprising young student willing to re-do the low quality faded graphics). A mix of court history and exhibits featuring the architectural background of the High Court building.

I continue to be amazed at the good ratings people give museums both out of date (this one seems to have 'stopped' in 2006) and visually uninspiring. The descriptions attached to pictures of the inauguration are laughable eg. "At Lunch". Even looking at every meagre offering, a 15-25 minute stay would be generous. This museum has almost nothing in it about the raison d'etre for Le Corbusier's design of the High Court, and only has a few documents and images on the wall relating to historic judgements and changes to the law in its sphere of influence and activity. NB: looking at other guide's reviews, I suspect they are commenting on the actual High Court and not the museum.

High Court Museum located in Chandigarh Sector 1.The history is preserved very well maintained museum.On the approach road to the High Court, the small High Court Museum displays assorted judicial memorabilia including original Le Corbusier sketches, a signed copy of the Indian constitution and several pieces of evidence from notable court cases, including handcuffs worn by Nathuram Godse, Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin. Unlike the rest of the Capitol complex, the museum can be visited independently...

It's a tiny museum which covers the history of Punjab Highcourt from pre partition times, there are also cases of reports of some famous cases of preparation times. Would recommend if you are a partition or legal history enthusiast.

This is a little museum with several little artefacts with great historical significance. If you're a lawyer and interested in the history of Indian judiciary, you'd love the place. The only issue I had was that there was no way to turn pages and look beyond the page they set several books and documents to in the glass display box. I wish they offered at least an electronic display of all the pages. They also had a room where they displayed how a court used to be back in the day, and it was really fun to see.

A hidden gem. Came across this very accidentally. There was no publicity of this museum. Was worth the visit. So many moments of history is captured in this museum. The handcuffs of Nathu Ram Godse is on display. The constitution - original, many seals, a courtroom of yester years duplicated. Amazing.

Best garden in whole chandigarh. Peaceful place to have some quality time. The only bad thing is that the washrooms are closed on Sunday.

Thats how a normal garden should look like. located in sector 33 of the city of gardens (literally) chandigarh, it is one of its famous gardens. Everything is accurately managed, from flowers, grass to cleanliness. It is open to public everyday. People's favorite place to visit in the winter afternoons! It also hosts a flower festival in December. It spans 3 days and show varities of flower Chrysanthemum (guldaudi).
